Claudi Marlouis President
I am native of La Tortue. Having completed my elementary studies at the only Presbyterian school on the island, I would the proceed to attend Les Petits ours de Saint Therese, followed immediately by a stint at Juvenat de Carrefour. I then spent over a decade as teacher and would work my way up to principal of a very prestigious school. I have aways been passionate about social development and have involved myself in many projects to help educate a financially illiterate population. Equally important to me is a mentorship and helping to develop zeal in the upcoming generation, so as to pass on my passion for education, social development, and helping bring financial literacy to a population. My greatest accomplishment thus far is having been married to my lovely wife for 30 years.
Gary Robert Lauriston
Vice President
Joining an organization like T. I. U has always been a dream for me. I have always wanted to work with a team that shares the same goals, values, and visions as me. Working together to bring change in our society, working together to make a difference in the environment, and working together to help change humanity is always our priority. Today is a wonderful moment where we come together to work in the same direction to help the population of Tortuga Island benefit from a hospital project where pregnant women will stop dying on the road with unborn children. Medical insecurity on the Island spares no one: adults, children, pregnant women and visitors!
Fernand Daniel General Manager
Fernand Daniel is an active and well-known leader in the Las Vegas Haitian Community. He is also the lead deacon and the treasurer of Messianic de la Grace, a Haitian church located in Las Vegas. Fernand has also been working as the treasure for the nonprofit organization, Las Vegas Haitian United. His love for Haiti led him to participate as advisor in multiple community groups in La Tortue Haiti such as ODHR, TIU and a football team called Fraicheur.
Alin Norcius Senior Advisor
I’ve always believed in being an incumbent upon the good men to better the lives of other men. That’s what TIU is about. That’s why I am a part of TIU. I want to do my part to help both children and the elderly and instill a sense of pride in all of those born in the beautiful La Tortue.
Jean Nicolas Stimphill Founder and Visionary
I‘ve always believed the people are what create change. This is why we, the people, have to take responsibility and build a hospital. I have spent my whole life working as a public servant, because I believe in the power of the people. As one who has dealt in finances of large institutions in both the public and private sector, I vow to contribute, every ounce of my experience in order to see to the progress of this Hospital and of my home town of La Tortue. I simply pray that people like you join me. We are only strong when we come together.
Pastor Idman Jeannelus Marketing Director
This dream is personal to the point of being selfish. It’s a point of pride and wanting to be able to make the claim that our people in La Tortue were able come together and with the sweat of their brow build something that would last for generations. I want to reward our ancestors’ struggles by leaving a legacy for the upcoming generation. I want my son to be proud of the land where I was born, and I want those on the island to have one less worry and one less fear.
Patrick Lubin Spokesperson
Once I heard of the
Community Hospital Project, I knew I had to get involved in any way
possible! The project is going to be located just a couple of miles away
from where I was born and grew up. Being from the area, I know that
family members and those in need would benefit from such an initiative. I
could not pass up the opportunity to be apart of a team that is going
to do everything in their power to make this project a reality. May God
bless everyone involved in this project.
Mikerlande Poliard Adelson Secretary
My passion in life has always been to help others. When I received the call from the founder of “Tortuga Island United” to be part of such a great project, I quickly accepted without any hesitation. Tortuga Island is one of the most abandoned parts of Haiti. The area has just one main hospital, which severely lacks resources to provide proper health care to the population. There’s a great demand with little to no supplies.
