Driven by love and compassion

TIU is an organization created and driven by love and compassion. Even before TIU became a legal and recognized nonprofit organization by the state of Florida, some of the members were already involved in philanthropic works. Over the past few years, we have provided assistance during multiple major catastrophic incidents and helped several families in need.

Building on The Island

We have built and re-built homes for those without, schools for free education and a local clinic to help improve access to medical care for the people of Tortuga Island.

Saving Lives

Through transportation, funding, or paying hospital fees. TIU has helped people fight through tumors, injuries and more.

Community Enrichment

Strengthening the people of Tortuga Islands with the tools and resources needed to do so.. We have hosted community events and continue to serve those in need.

Our Initiative to Bring Accessible Medical Care To Tortuga Island

ICU

Despite Tortuga Island’s less-than-ideal, our hospital location would make sure that island inhabitants have access to a well-staffed and equipped ICU in under 30 minutes.

Urgent Care

We aim to have a Fleet of vehicles that can travel the island in a timely manner once called on. On an island, it may often prove easier to get to a destination by boat. The fleet has to have marine capabilities.

Primary Care

Comprehensive Primary Care is the entry point for the every health care system. Just imagine having a hospital in Tortuga Island with doctors and nurses that provides preventive care to keep you healthy, and ongoing care for many common chronic diseases, including high blood pressure, diabetes, asthma, arthritis, headaches, and stomach problems.
